Cole Hawkins
This political cartoon is showing a situation where Virginia State Police are investigating a case of road rage involving two drivers; one armed with a gun and one armed with a carton of yogurt. The man with the yogurt threw it at the other mans car. That yogurt was considered a missile, which is a felony, and the man that showed a handgun actually broke no laws. So my question is, is this justice? In my cartoon, I wanted to show through this situation that laws are black and white according to law enforcement so it is important to know your rights and the laws that surround you during your every day life. Even though I don’t believe all laws should be black and white, I would like to know what my rights are before I walk outside my house. To answer my question, I do not think this situation is just.
